The world’s a big place. I’ve always known that much. Even when I was withering away, I hoped I’d be fortunate enough to see it. Thankfully, I was. I have a family of sorts now, my powers are incredible, and maybe for once in my life, I feel safe and accepted.

Sort of.

That’s the thing. I don’t care where you came from. You could have been struggling to survive, or received everything you desired. I may not know much, but I know this for certain: life is unpredictable. Seeing the future is naught if you are powerless to change it.

Yes, there are bumps in the road. Anything is  better than where I began, and I can tell you that with an easy conscience. This is my story- all of them, all my stories- and how life changes me and those around me, for the better or worse.

For we all must learn to survive, but never forget to live.
